LAST YEAR
After the success of last year’s event in Stansted Mountfitchet, OSE are hosting another summer school in 2013. This time our summer school will be held in the beautiful surroundings of historic Uppingham School in Leicestershire.
EXAM PREPARATION
All English lessons are designed around the successful preparation of international English examinations. There are courses for each of the major exams including IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, KET/PET/FCE/CAE and Trinity GESE.
IELTS
Students are enrolled to sit the official IELTS exam at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge on the last day of their stay. During the examination day candidates sit the writing, reading and listening parts of the exam in the morning and then the speaking part in the afternoon.
Activities and Excursions
Our Academic Activities include; Presentation Night, where students deliver a presentation on a topic of importance, as they might at university or in the workplace, to the whole of the school. A Quiz night, a fashion night. Other activities include horse riding, go karting, mini Olympics and a disco.
Students visit the Olympic site in London, Oxford, Cambridge, Bath and Stonehenge during their stay. There is also another trip to London, this time to visit Buckingham Palace, Westminster and shopping in Oxford Street.

Our teachers all hold highly regarded English language teaching qualifications from the University of Cambridge which are recognised worldwide and assure that students experience tuition of the finest quality available. We only employee teachers who we believe to be knowledgeable, enthusiastic and able to drive their students to achieve their goals and fulfil their learning aims.
